What is CONNECT?

The term “CONNECT” stands for “Connecting the Network of Networks for Enhanced Communication and Training”. CONNECT will provide a common web-based platform suitable for use by all IAEA professional communities of practice (i.e., “Networks”). The key functions of CONNECT are to facilitate collaboration between Network Participants, for example through online interactions such as discussion forums and co-operative document production, and sharing experience and expertise through “lessons learned” and by direct consultation between participants.

CONNECT will provide a gateway for interconnecting existing and planned IAEA Networks, increasing the participation of individuals and organizations involved in them, and making available additional sources of information that complement existing training workshops and meetings.

About the project

The project has been ordered by IAEA and will be carried out by a consortium consisting of Facilia AB, ENCONET and UCEWP. The project is planned to start in the spring of 2012.
